AI Suggestions

Media Manager now comes with built-in AI superpowers! For every video that is uploaded we already generate a transcript and captions file using Open AI’s Whisper service.

We now go one step further and use the transcript to automatically generate content to help with promotion for the video. These are found in the “Marketing” tab when editing a video.

This includes:

  • Recommended tags categorised into People, Organisations and Topics (we limit these to the top 10).
  • Potential video titles, kept to a maximum of 255 characters.
  • Short format (~25 word) social media posts, ideal for posting on X.
  • Longer format social media posts, ideal for posting on LinkedIn.
  • Short (~25 word) video summaries, useful as a at-a-glance description placed below a video player.
  • Longer (~100 word) video summaries, designed to be used in marketing emails.

New Videos

Every new video uploaded will get automatic suggestions as long as a transcript has been successfully generated by our system. The transcript will become available a short time after your video is ready for playback.

Once available you can easily click to copy the ai suggestions. For the tags, you can either click the copy icon to copy a list of all the tags, or an individual tag to just copy one, then just paste into the tags card and save.

Existing Videos

In May 2025 we introduced an update to the AI suggestions feature to generate social media content and additional options for video titles and descriptions. The “Marketing” tab on videos that had AI suggestions created before May 2025 will continue to display the AI content as it was generated at the time, there is no process to add additional suggestions to these videos.

For content generated prior to May 2024, when the AI suggestions feature was first introduced to Media Manager, you can still generate AI suggestions on demand as long as a transcript is available. If a video does not have existing suggestions, you will be presented with a “Generate AI Suggestions” button. Click this and AI suggestions will be generated for you.
