Captions

Captions are a great way to make your videos more accessible to a wider audience. They are also a great way to help your viewers understand what is being said in your video.

Adding Captions

You may add captions from the Edit Video page by uploading a WebVTT or SRT file.

Adding Captions

You can attach multiple caption tracks to a video. This is useful if you have multiple languages or if you want to provide a transcript of the video. The name field is used to identify the caption track and is displayed in the player.

Auto Captions

For every video you upload, captions will be automatically generated. Currently, only English captions are supported. If another language is spoken in the video, captions will be created using the English model, and the output may be incomprehensible. These captions are generated using speech recognition technology and are not perfect. They serve as a great starting point for you to edit and improve. From the captions panel, you can enable auto captions or download them as a WebVTT file. You can then make any necessary edits and upload the file.

Transcript

Where possible a transcript will be generated for the media. This file can be downloaded from the ‘interactivity’ tab when editing your media. If no transcript is available the transcript card will not be displayed.
